My yarn basket — orange, mustard, cream, rust, brown with jute twine
For this garland I used worsted weight yarn — pumpkin orange 40 grams, mustard yellow 30 grams, cream 30 grams, rust/burnt orange 30 grams for maple leaves, warm brown 20 grams and orange-brown 20 grams for little pumpkins and acorns. I use a 4.0mm hook for leaves so they are soft and drapey with textured stitches — and a 3.5mm hook for tiny pumpkins and acorns so they are neat — about 1.5" wide for pumpkins and 1.2" tall for acorns. I also had jute twine 6 feet long for stringing — natural twine — just like in your photo with jute twine holding orange, yellow, cream, rust leaves and little pumpkins and acorns.

How this garland is made — leaves + pumpkins + acorns on twine
This garland is simple — you crochet 7 maple leaves — about 4" wide ×4.5" tall each — in different fall colors — orange, mustard, cream, rust — 2 orange, 2 mustard, 1 cream, 2 rust — 7 leaves total — then 4 little pumpkins — about 1.5" wide each — 2 orange and 2 cream — and 3 acorns — about 1.2" tall each — brown — then you string them all on jute twine 6 feet long, alternating leaves and pumpkins/acorns — leaf, pumpkin, leaf, acorn, leaf — so the garland is about 5 feet long with items spaced about 6" apart.
Maple leaves — make 7 — 4" wide
Ch 2 — magic ring alternative — or ch 12 for center stem chain
Row 1: ch 12 — this is center stem and middle vein — 12 chains — about 3" long — stem at bottom
Row 2: sc in 2nd chain from hook, hdc, dc, dc, dc, hdc, hdc, sc, sc, sl st, sc in last chain for tip — 11 sts along one side of chain — working around chain
Row 3: working other side of same chain — sc, hdc, dc 3, hdc 2, sc 2, sl st, ch 4 for first side lobe — turn — side lobe — sc in 2nd chain, hdc, dc, dc — 4 sts — lobe about 1" tall
