Edges are wavy / uneven.

Miscounted stitches. Count each row end. Use stitch marker in first stitch of each row.

Fabric too stiff, hard to wrap.

Tension too tight or hook too small. Try 5.5mm hook or relax grip. Single crochet should be dense but flexible.

Button loop too big, button falls out.

Reduce chain loop to 6-7 chains. It should require slight stretch to close.

Button pops off.
