My yarn basket — beige cotton cord with wooden beads and bottle
For this holder I used cotton cord 3mm — soft beige 80 grams — not thin yarn but cord so it's sturdy and holds shape and doesn't stretch too much when bottle is full. I use a 5mm hook so mesh is open and airy — not tight — about 0.6" holes — and sturdy base. I also had wooden beads 4× 20mm light wood for drawstring ends, just like in your photo with two beads on each side of drawstring, and a clear water bottle with silver cap 500ml for sizing — bottle about 8" tall ×2.8" diameter.

How this mesh bottle holder is made — base + mesh net + drawstring
This holder is three parts — a solid base circle about 3.5" wide — then mesh net sides about 7.5" tall with open holes about 0.6" — made of chain and single crochet mesh — and drawstring with wooden beads about 20" long that goes through top edge and cinches to hold bottle. The whole holder is about 7.5" tall ×3.5" wide flat, which stretches to about 7" around when bottle inside — fits standard 500ml bottle 8" tall ×2.8" diameter — mesh stretches gently to hug bottle.
