My yarn basket — beige and brown with acorns and beads
For this acorn I used worsted weight yarn — soft beige 30 grams for the textured cap, warm brown 30 grams for the acorn body that holds lip balm. I use a 3.5mm hook so it's tight and sturdy — not loose — so it holds shape like a real acorn cap and body. I also had wooden beads — 12 beads 12mm light and dark brown, 6 smaller 8mm beads for spacers — jute cord 18" long, and a gold lobster clasp for clipping to bag or keys, just like in your photo with acorns, maple leaves, tiny mushrooms, and moss around.

How this acorn pouch is made — cap + body + beaded strap
This acorn is two parts — a beige cap that is textured with a criss-cross or bobble look, about 1" tall and 2" wide — and a brown body that is a little pouch, about 1.5" tall and 2" wide, that holds a standard lip balm tube 0.6" wide ×2.6" tall — like the one in your photo with cream cap. The cap and body are separate — you put lip balm inside brown body, then pull beige cap over top like a little lid — it stays with a little overlap. Then you add a beaded strap 5" long with wooden beads and gold clasp to clip to bag.
Beige acorn cap — textured — 1" tall
R1: magic ring, 6 sc — 6 — small circle
R2: inc 6 — 12 — 12 sts
R3: [sc, inc]6 — 18 — 18 sts — about 1" wide
R4: [sc 2, inc]6 — 24 — 24 sts — about 1.5" wide
R5: [sc 3, inc]6 — 30 — 30 sts — about 2" wide — cap widest — 2" wide
R6-8: sc 30 — 3 rounds straight — textured — use *sc, then front post sc or bobble or criss-cross stitch* to make nubby texture like real acorn cap — I do alternating front post sc for textured look — 30 each round — cap about 0.8" tall straight — plus increase rounds 0.4" =1.2" tall total but after curling edge about 1" tall
R9: *sc 3, bobble or popcorn stitch* repeat 7 times, sc 2 — adds texture around edge — or work *sc, dc* texture — for acorn cap texture — 30 sts still
R10: sc 30 — final round — edge slightly curls in like real acorn cap — fasten off leave tail 10" for sewing strap loop — cap about 2" wide, 1" tall — textured beige cap like in your photo with criss-cross knit look
Make loop for clasp — ch 6, sl st to same stitch — small loop at top center of cap — for gold lobster clasp — loop about 0.5" — sew secure
Cap is 6→30 — widest 2" wide — 3 rounds straight at 30 sts with textured stitches — I use front post single crochet alternating to make that criss-cross nubby look like real acorn cap in your photo — cap about 1" tall with edge that curls slightly in like real acorn cap — and small ch6 loop at top center for gold clasp — loop about 0.5".

Body is 6→24 — widest 2" wide — 8 rounds straight at 24 sts — body about 1.5" tall — holds standard lip balm tube 0.6" wide ×2.6" tall — lip balm top peeks out about 0.8" like in your photo where cream lip balm top shows above brown body — for a fully covered version where lip balm is hidden, work 10 rounds straight instead of 8 for about 1.9" tall. I use 8 rounds for cute peek-out style like in your photo.

Beaded strap with gold clasp
Cut jute cord 18" long — fold in half — loop end through gold lobster clasp — pull ends through loop — larks head knot — clasp at top
Thread wooden beads onto both cords together — pattern: 12mm dark brown, 8mm small light, 12mm light, 8mm small, 12mm dark, etc — 12 large beads 12mm + 6 small beads 8mm — alternating — beaded section about 4" long — 18 beads total
Tie both cords together at bottom with overhand knot — leave 1" tail — trim — beaded strap about 5" long total — 4" beaded + 1" clasp and knots — like in your photo with brown and cream wooden beads in a circle
Loop bottom knot through small loop at top of beige acorn cap — pull tight — beaded strap attached to cap — gold clasp at top for clipping to bag
